Let’s Pop is an interactive computer program to encourage reading in elementary aged autistic students and non-autistic students. This application was designed with a focus on human computer interaction and user-centered design principles.
The virtual ISU campus project was a graphics course project at Iowa State University. In this modified virtual world of the ISU campus, the world can be explored with a first person camera through keyboard and mouse interaction.
A genetic optimization algorithm written in C was parallelized with MPI and implemented in a UNIX based environment. Then the processes was tested against the well established Rosenbrock function and optimized for a 2100% reduction in computation time.
